Transport for SQA Exams
As Thursday 5 May 2022 is an In-Service Day, and although the school is open for staff and for those pupils undertaking their Modern Studies exam, there will be no school transport in operation for these pupils.
Pupils who are entitled to receive free transport and are due to sit the Modern Studies examination should collect a white single use voucher from reception prior to the In-Service Day to allow them to travel to and from school on the day of their exam.
On other examination days, all pupils travelling outwith normal school hours even when they are travelling with the same bus company, should collect a supplementary travel voucher. These are also available at School Reception.
Pupils can also travel free if they have the travel element of their National Entitlement Card as part of the Young Persons’ (Under 22) Free Bus Travel. This scheme gives free travel on any registered bus services without the need to issue separate vouchers.
We have made arrangements that all pupils are able to get a free breakfast on the day of their examinations and breakfast tokens are available at Study Days and from Guidance teachers or the Headteacher and Depute's.
At the Senior Assemblies last week all our Seniors were reminded that uniform must be worn when attending school either for examinations or for study days. This is primarily for security reasons since school uniform immediately identifies the pupils to their school.
Please do not hesitate to contact either the Guidance Team or Ms Sullivan if you require any further assistance regarding SQA and examinations.
Wishing all our Senior Pupils the very best throughout this term.
