Social Subjects and Religious and Moral Education

In the Social Subjects faculty, we deliver Geography, History and Modern Studies through a single teacher course in S1 and S2. In S3, pupil choice is introduced and all pupils can choose to study certificate courses in one or more of these subjects in S3 and beyond into the senior phase. Religious and Moral Education (RME) is delivered by an RME specialist, one period per week throughout S1 and S2. All pupils continue to study Core RME in S3 and S4 but can also decide to study certificate level courses. Politics is offered at Higher level and is a popular choice among S5 and S6 pupils.
