The Library Resource Centre seeks to provide staff and pupils with physical text and digital resources  to support learning and teaching across the curriculum. There is access to computer/internet facilities for all pupils and staff.  Staff are able to book the library and its resources for individual class use.

Pupils are motivated to read for pleasure through the provision of a wide-ranging book stock. Author visits and participation in physical and online virtual events such as the International Book Festival also inspire pupils to read for pleasure.

An S1 library introduction is given at the start of each year and new pupils are informed on how the library works and what resources are available to them.  Information Skills courses run in conjunction with the English Department to encourage pupils to become more confident, informed and independent learners.

Titles that are not readily available in the library can be obtained from other libraries  - this being particularly useful to S6 pupils engaged in research for Advanced Highers.
